2011 December Say Yes Ministry Newsletter

The end of November was our annual Box of Love for the Say Yes families. The event started as early as 7am on Saturday the 19th. Ten of our church family attended the packing party at the Here’s Life InnerCity facility. We received 33 boxes for our Say Yes group. At two that afternoon, we had the families meet in the Fellowship Hall. According to Charlette we had about 75 boys, girls, men and women attending the event. A gospel message was given and each adult was asked to fill out a response card. We received 26 cards. Looking at the cards, there were 9 professions of faith, 9 that are interested in a Bible study, 2 re-dedications, and several interested in more information. Praise God. It was a very successful day, with a lot of work still to be done. And speaking of work, none of these things would happen without our great Say Yes staff. Their time and dedication to these families really show in the lives of our neighbors.

This month we will have our annual Christmas party. The boys and girls will hear the biblical Christmas story, play games, do a craft. Each child will receive a Bible and one of the great knitted caps knitted and prayed over by Lois Seibold. The party will be held on December 21st.
